Location: The village is located in the southwestern part of the Nitra hills at the upper side of the stream Jarč. It is located 9 km southeast of  Hlohovec.

The first written record is from 1256.

The Origin of the village name: in 1256 Sag, in 1773 Saagh, in 1808 Ság, Ssahy, in 1920 Šág, in 1948 Sasinkovo.

History of the village: The village was established as the seat of the kings fishers. Since the beginning of the 14th century it belonged to the gentry form Hlohovec and subsequently to several noble families - Sandor, Keglevich, Appel and others. Sasinkovo ​​was a major wine region. This activity is also interesting for current residents as evidence we can see slopes richly filled with vines.
